Troubleshooting!

What do you do if your GnomePen has issues?

Invignome has tested thousands of pens and our pen-failiure rate is under 0.1%.

Most “failiures” are due to storage conditions, working temperatures or improper use. These and can be solved in seconds:

The pen does not flow when I press it against the slide
Under 25c a low pressure may form in the pen body which will interfere with the flow.
To solve this:
Simply unscrew the white pen tip clockwise one full turn.

Immedietly close the pen by turning the white tip counter-clock-wise and tightening. Verify the pen is closed shut!

Note: The air tight pen body results in longer shelf life. Opening and closing the pen to the environment allows it to equalibrize with the surrounding atmospheric pressure.

Using The GnomePen

The Pen overflows when I press it against the slide

At hot weather a slightly high pressure may form in the pen body.

To solve this (as shown above):                    Simply unscrew the white pen tip clockwise one full turn. Immedietly – close the pen by turning the white tip counter-clock-wise and tightening. Verify the pen is closed shut!

Another reason for this is the end user holding the pen by the clear body or applying pressure on the pen body. This is not necessary or wanted. Please make sure NOT to hold the clear pen body. Hold only the white tip and write normally, as you would with a regular pen.

The above tips were collected following discussion with users. We hope you will follow them and we wish you good luck with your experiments.
